The selection of local takeaways is brilliant, but I've noticed the service fees and delivery charges can really add up, sometimes making a cheap meal quite expensive. I usually look for the 'pickup' option instead to skip the delivery costs entirely, or I check if there's a restaurant-specific deal running in the app before I confirm my basket.

Decided to give Uber Eats a go since they were offering a generous discount on the first few orders for new users. The code worked perfectly on my phone for a local chippy order. Tracking the driver in real-time was helpful, though I'd recommend sticking to places nearby to make sure your food arrives hot.
